BMSF was formed in January 10, 1991 with the objective to mobilize the journalists, those working in the national and local print as well as electronic media to facilitate their participation in the national development program activities.

 Organizational
  • 600 Journalists of 64 districts network already functioning.
  • 200 women journalists are involved with BMSF Network
  • 64 Journalists working as a focal person in 64 District.
  • 10 Zonal/area Coordinator working in Zonal Level.
  • Each network consists of Journalists from different opinion.
  • Organization identified as one of the impartial reporter in Bangladesh.
  • All of the network members are working journalists.
  • They are also close observer of local level situation.
  • They have a good entrance to the local administration, local govt. representative.
  • They have a quality to develop any report in an accurate manner.
  • They are also experienced in Election Monitoring, HIV reporting, Human Rights and Good governance, Development Issues.
  • Regular election observe in National and Local level as member of CCHRB & MAEM election monitoring activities.
